A stricture is when your stoma (the place in your stomach where they reconnect the intestine) closes or swells so food cannot pass. It seems to be a common complication of the surgery and is fixed by a endoscope with dilation. 6/27/03 292/204/172

You can get a stricture anywhere that there is a surgical connection. It is basically the tissue overgrowing and narrowing or completely closing an opening.I've had 5 you can read my profile for more info.
