I have the AFLAC Hospitalization insurance which pays $500 for being
admitted to the hospital and then $100 per day you are in the hospital.
There is also a surgery portion which paid another $500. I ended up
getting a $1200 check.

I have the AFLAC disability policy and was able to use it during the time
off from surgery. I just had to fill out their forms requesting the
benefit, and payment followed very shortly thereafter. No problems at all,
and it was wonderful to have that so I didn't have to burn all my sick
time. Best of luck wherever you are in the process! Kim

I too had Aflac Disability. As long as the surgery is 'required' by your
doctor, it is covered under their disability plan. I ended up with MAJOR
surgical complications and Aflac was a life saver! One of the few times I
have ever had a chance to use insurance!!! Well, I ended up maxing out my
Aflac disability - which lasted for 3 months, per occurence. While it
wasn't nearly the same $$ that I was earning, it sure was a blessing when I
couldn't earn one dollar. Best of luck to you and if you have any
questions, call your representative. I called mine one week prior to
surgery and found out a little bit of information. I didn't spend much time
because I truly expected to be back to work within two weeks. Well...you
know what they say about the best laid plans!
