Question:
Has anyone not had any hair loss?

I am 6 months out and haven't noticed any hair loss at all. This is
something that's different for everyone. Some people tend to have hair loss
no matter what they do to prevent it. But to be on the safe side... make
sure to get enough protein every day. I also think that its helpful to get
in some healthy fats in our diet... like fat from fish and nuts. Good Luck.

I had pretty rapid weight loss (over 80 pounds the first month and about
250 pounds lost in the first year) so I have been expecting hair loss.
But, so far, no problems. I don't take a multi-vitamin, but do load up on
protein (getting in well close to 80 grams a day), so I don't know if that
is the difference.

I'm one of the lucky ones. I did not have any hair loss. I was expecting it
though.

I have had no hair loss, and I was a little paranoid about it before
surgery. (My one vanity at any size is my hair.) I have made absolutely
sure that I get in plenty of protein every day. I believe that protein is
the key!

I didn't have any hair loss. I had Lap RNY in August of 2002. I took
flintstone vitamins every day, still do, and drank at least 75 gms of
protein drink every day for 5-6 months. I washed my hair with Nioxin
shampoo every day. I am a slow loser, also. Any of the above may be the
reason for no hair loss or maybe all of them combined, I don't know. Good
luck. Nita
