Question:
How long until my pouch stops hurting all the time?

You did not say how far post-op that you are. If you are a brand new post-op, I think it was about 4 weeks post-op that my new tummy stopped hurting so much. It takes that long for it to get settled in, the staples are foreign to the stomach, give it time. I had a open rny, and the incision at 2 1/2 months is still tender.

I was about 10 weeks along before my pouch stopped hurting a lot. I thought maybe I had eaten too much or somehow damaged myself but it turned out to be normal. People heal at different rates. Now it seldom hurts, unless I eat the wrong thing or forget to chew, chew, chew. I am almost 6 months out and am down 85 lbs.
