Hi, my name is Jamie. There is a difference between writing to your
insurance company and appealing. It does make a differnce but also depends
on what company you are dealing with. Often just "letters" don't
get you very far only because people focus on just the "personal"
aspect of it, in an appeal letter you put personal, facts and legislature,
re-gather all your documents, IE..med nec. letter, labs, weight history,
med. charts etc at them....often times they will open their eyes.
Insurance Companies "look" for those who really do their research
and know what they are talking about. I have helped 2 others with appeals
so far so good. I do have 2 different types of appeals letters you can
use. Regarding your co-morbids...Gerd is most certainly a co-morbidity due
to obesity, gall stones if chronic during the duration of obesity is and
yes edema is, you probably have more than you realize that you might not
think "counts" I hope I have been of help. email me at
[email protected] if you have more I can help with. Good luck.
Hugs~Jamie
