Question:
Is there a capsule version of glucosamine?
I want to go back on glucosamine (I'm post-op) due to a shoulder injury and arthritis in the hips. But swallowing those large pills even split several ways is rough. Does anyone know if there of a brand that comes in capsule form? Capsules slide down much easier than tabs. — Gail from NoVa (posted on October 7, 2003)

I have seen a liquid form in my local Costco. You might be able to find it
in a Costco or some sort of warehouse place like that. But I do know they
make a liquid.

Doctor's Trust brand has glucosamine sulfate capsules that I buy for not
much money. You can get 1,000mg ones. I've heard that capsules can get
stuck post-op but you could certainly empty them. To check them out, do a
search on "Doctor's Trust vitamins" and you can find their site
from that. Hope this helps!

GNC carries a chew called tri-flex. One day at the mall they were giving
samples and I thought it was better than the calcium ones. Give it a try!

Please be careful with capsules, unless you intend to break them open they
might either get stuck or more commonly not dissolve in your pouch, stick
it in a glass of water to see how fast it disappears, I'd say more than 1/2
hour and you would not want to swallow it whole.
