Obviously, check with your doc about what to take, but a few notes on
calcium: people can only absorb 500 mg of calcium at a time (WLS patients
or not), so be sure to spread your 1000 mg out over two doses. Also, most
health practitioners recommend 1200 to 1500 mg of calcium a day (again, WLS
patient or not). It sounds like you're getting 1000 mg a day in
supplements. If you're getting the other 200 to 500 mg a day through food,
you might be OK, but if not (and considering malabsorption issues), you
should talk with your doc about adding a third 500 mg. daily
supplementation.

I take them, which is a cal citrate 500, 350 mg, 200 D. HOWEVER, the label
reads TWO capsules - 1000mg cal cit, 500mg mag, 400 IU D. Very confusing.
I am now taking 4 pairs per day. I know the 500mg rule and am testing my
own body to see if that rule applies to US. It's been a year, will have my
dexascan shortly. Blood levels improved immediately, so an intersting
theory. I'm not recommending it, only testing it.
