Question:
I am 12 days post-op. My stomach seems to growl all the time.
I've been getting my fluids in. Anyone else have this problem? I also seem to burp all the time. Help! — Lisa D. (posted on September 21, 2003)

Are you sure it is your new tummy making the noise? The first week or so
after my surgery my old tummy would growl, I think because it was empty,
and drying up.

I am 13 days post op. When my stomach makes a noise it usually means I am
going to get sick or that maybe I ate to much or to fast.

Yes, I am almost a year out, but my tummy did growl alot and still does.
Almost feels like air or something. Not painful, just a normal part of it
I guess. Good luck on your journey.

My pouch makes alot of noise after I eat or drink. For me this means that
my foods are passing through my stoma. If there is no noise then I know I
am backed up, my intestine is full, my bowel is full and this food I just
ate has no where to go but up LOL. For me the noises are a good thing :)
Also when my bowel is full and slow to 'release' my poo, I have to take
some flax oil capsules or a mineral oil based laxative to help it
'release'. If I'm constipated, I also vomit alot. So I've got to keep
things moving along so I can get all my nutrition in and digested.
