Question:
Ladies Only: Having trouble finding panties...
:) Let's see...how do I word this? I've always worn "sexy" lingerie, even at my heaviest. I'm now at this weird, in-between size. My favorite panties are the lace, full front coverage thong panties (cheeky lace thongs & stretch lace thongs). I used to find them at Avenue & Lane Bryant. However, their smallest sizes in these panties are 14/16's. Gladly, these are too large on me now. They don't "hug" my hips like they're supposed to. So I decided to shop at regular stores for these styles. THEY don't have them in sizes big enough for my booty. Where (besides online since I can't "size" those with my own eyes) can I find these in-between sizes? Maybe like 10/12's? Any advice you ladies might have would be greatly appreciated! — Amy A. Fashion bug has really cute ones...but UNDERWEAR sizes are different than
what they use at lane bryant. For example, I am in a size 11 panty from
fashion bug, but I wear a size 24 in clothes. On some packages of panties
they give sizing charts, to give you an idea of what you need.

Original Poster here: Thanks you guys! I did check Wal-Mart and they
carry plenty of larger sizes but NO sexy panties in larger sizes. Fashion
Bug sounds interesting. I looked them up in our local yellow pages and
found a couple of them not too far away! I'll be shopping this afternoon!
Thanks again...Amy

Get a ROMAN's catalog - also connected with Lane Bryant. I just got one
this weekend and they had some panties you might like and I think they go
all the way down to 10's and 12's. I'll check again tonight when I go home
and if it is a different catalog i'll e-mail you. Good Luck! YOU GO GIRL!

Cato usually has some larger underwear and bra sets. You could try there!

Amy, I have what might me a cheap solution to your problem. I used to do
quite a bit of sewing and I know that it would be "sew" easy to
just take some inches off those panties. If you don't sew, try to find a
local seamstress. A good place to start would be with a fabric store in
your area.

I have recently bought some cute ones at Target. They have some bigger
sizes, up to a 10 maybe. I find that underwear, like clothes, vary in
sizes and am having trouble deciding what size to buy.

Original Poster Again: Allison...great idea but I don't know any
seamstresses "intimately" enough to take my thong panties to! :)
However, at lunchtime today I ran over to the Fashion Bug. They have some
great clothes!! Sizes from 12 & up along with another section of the
store that goes from regular sizes up to 14. I found some quite lovely
thong lace panties AND they were on sale 4 for $18. One pair at Lane
Bryant/Avenue runs about $16-18 so this is quite a bargain! I'm very
pleased...The ones that fit were a size 9 plus. I just love this site and
love every one of you for taking the time to help me out.
