Question:
Ache in Thighs
For the past week I've had an ache in my front thigh. Could this be because I've missed some vitamin? — [Deactivated Member] (posted on September 14, 2003)

I've heard of this with potassium deficiency, but leg pain can be a sign of
DVT also, so call your doc Monday morning.

Beth is right call your doctor. You could be developing a blood clot and
that is something not to fool with. My husband ended up in the hospital for
10 days because of an ache in his calf, he had a very bad blood clot and
then ended up being out of work for 2 months. GET IT CHECKED OUT, DVT'S
ARE DEADLY.

You need to see your PCP if not your surgeon. I had "aches" in
my thighs - predominantly my right thigh. They started right after I was
released from the hospital. To be on the safe side, my surgeon sent me for
a full ultrasound which proved the aches were NOT blood clots. I felt 100%
better knowing it wasn't that. After visiting my PCP, I learned I had a
pinched nerve (between my L1 and L2) and that was what was causing the
surface aches in my thighs. I was afraid to go to the Dr. fearing
something awful but what I had was treatable and I'm sure yours will be
too. You'll feel better after going to the doctor.

This can be caused by a lot of things like....low calcium, low
potassium, pinched nerves, blood clot either way it is something that should
be brought up to your doc.
