Question:
Anyone have some good TRICEP muscle exercises you would share?
I am looking for some exercises that can be done at home specifically for the tricep and bicep area. Thanks in advance. Ann in TX — Ann B. (posted on August 25, 2003)

hi ann... my personal trainer at gold's gym taught me a good exercise for
the tricep and biceps. you need to use 5, 8 or 10 pound free weights.
stand up, feet shoulder width apart with a weight in each hand. for the
triceps, place your arms at your side and raise your arms up towards your
face with your palms facing away from you. for your biceps, do the same
motion but your palms face towards you. in both exercises it's very
important that your elbows do not move at all. do them slowly. the faster
you go, the less of a workout you really have. a friend of mine who does
professional weight lifting advised me that the more reps you do (like 20
to 25) with smaller weights (like 3-5 pounds), the more toned you become.
the heavier the weight (like 10-15 pounds) with less reps (like 8-10), the
bulker your muscles will become. i've noticed a change in myself after
only a month. i hope you do too. :)
