Question:
Why would having Real Meals cause olive green BMs? I have only had Real Meals twice

in the last week and both times I have had olive green colored bowel movements. Nothing else has changed in my diet. I am having the same amount of protein and water. Should I be concerned? Has anyone else had this happen? I only tried Real Meals caused so many other people raved about how good they were and a friend gave me a couple of samples. This is really freaky. I am five months out.    — Ann B. (posted on August 12, 2003)

I also tried vanilla flavored Real Meals for the first time over the weekend. I got constipated (sorry, guys)with the same problem you mentioned. I drank a bunch more water and that helped a lot. I also lost 3 pounds over the weekend while using this product, so I can't complain. It didn't taste as good as my usual stuff(EAS Advant Edge Whey powder - chocolate)It was tolerable, though. I plan to purchase a case of Real Meals when I get the cash.

Well, mine are usually that color since surgery (sorry to be graphic) and I have tried Real Meals only once pre-op and once post op. Didn't care for them. SO, I don't know whether or not they have anything to do with the beautiful shade of khaki!!!!

I have never had Real Meals, but I have read that they have a lot of iron in them. Iron can cause olive green stool and constipation. Not to worry as long as you can tolerate it. The same thing can happen when taking iron pills.

I've been on Real Meals for 6 month and have never had this happen. I drink the Choc ones and like the taste. I'm always good about getting one half in, but need to start working on getting the other. I do feel like it has helped and want to get back on track

EVERY bowel movement I've had since surgery has been olive green and ultra stinky, and I've never used Real Meals... hmmm... must just be a surgery thing, huh? I have my two month check up coming up next week, think I'll ask my surgeon!! God bless!!
