Hi Catherine- You're right on track if you look at the weight loss planner,
which can be accessed from the Gallery page. I am 6.5 months out, started
at 246#, 5'4" and I've lost eighty, but hit a month-long plateau at
about five months out (also normal). Remember though, that everyone's loss
is at a different pace--the weight-loss "planner" is only an
estimate. And also remember that you've got another 13 months
"window" ahead of you during which you will likely continue to
lose. Congratulations on your success! Keep up the good work!

Hi - I think you're doing great. I was 262 5'5" and at 5 months I
lost 67 pounds. You're right on track with me and the chart suggests that
I might lose 93 percent of my excess weight in a little over a year.

Hi Catherine,
Just had my 6 month anniversary yesterday and I've lost 85 pounds. Included
was a month long plateau at 5 months. Only after I started Carb Solutions
and increased my protein/water did I loose 5 pounds in 6 days, just in time
for my appointment. I'm running ahead schedule. Yeah!!! I'm 10 pounds under
what Dr charts says I should weigh. I'm 5'4" and started out at 250.
Oh, and I'm 53 years young!

HI I started at 253lbs at 5'3". I had surgery on 03/03/03. I am
currently down 78 lbs. I feel wonderful. I have about 50 to go to reach my
personal goal. I feel confident that I will reach my goal. I am a 4/6 on
the top and 10-14 on the bottom. My excess wieght now is in my hips and
thighs. I know that according to the weight loss estimator I am slightly
ahead but remember it will all balance out.

I think it is. I started at almost your exact weight and same
height-5'3" and 249 and at 5 months, I had lost 67, so yes, we were
close. However, please don't compare yourself to others-we all lose
differently, even when starting out at same age,height/weight. Check out
my profile towards the bottom for a month by month loss thru 16-17 months
(I'm at 18 mo and need to update!!)

I am 5ft. 1" and I was 253.5 to start a year and a month ago. I am 143
today (-110). At 5 months I believe I was down about 77 pounds...but I
exercised at least 5 times a week, so I would say that is even a little on
the fast side. I recommend charting your weightloss on www.fitday.com
because it will help you see your weight loss patterns and keep your
success in perspective. Good luck to you and read my profile ot see more.
