Question:
The question asked has always been can you get pregnant.
My question: after a successful pregnancy - do you maintain the weight loss or do you return to pre-WLS weights? — Ms. T. K. (posted on July 30, 2003)

I was told by my surgeon to wait 2 years post-op to get pregnant. He said
that I would gain between 15-25 lbs while pregnant, but that most of it
would be "baby weight" and should come off at the time of
delivery (I figure a 7lb baby + amniotic fluid + placenta and that should
be most of the weight). The doctor said if I returned to my pre-op weight
he would have to write me up in one of those medical journals, because it
just doesn't happen. :~)
