I have my surgury date and my insurance approved it months ago,

If I'm reading your question correctly, you're asking if a company that no longer insures you will pay for a surgery that they approved a while back. No, they won't, unless you've kicked over to Cobra - POSSIBLY, but otherwise once your coverage ended with this company any approvals ended as well.

Linda, what do you mean specifically when you say you no longer qualify. If it is because you no longer work for the company that you purchased your insurance thru, then I am sure they will not pay for your surgery. If it is because you lost weight and now have a lower BMI than they require the answer is probably yes. Without knowing the specifics, kind of hard to offer an opinion.
