Question:
I have some burning at the

bottom of my incision (sp) I am 10 days post op. Can I put anything on it? I don't get my staples out until the 10th. Thanks    — luckyflowers (posted on July 3, 2003)

Wow, I think that's a long time to have staples in. I would get it checked to make sure its not infected. Good Luck!

my staples were in for 3 weeks and 1 day... and it sounds like i had the same thing. it is your skin trying to heal around the metal and then, the metal staple is pulling your skin- it burns and is so sore! i wish they would have taken my staples out @ 2 weeks (at longest) but even @ 3, i still tore in some places that were not healed yet??? it helped me a little when i put neosporin on it, and lubricated the area. you'll feel much better when they are out! hope i helped even a little
