Question:
Another Distal/Proximal Question

My doctor told me that he bypasses approx 6.5 feet of small intestine. He said this leave approximately 12-13 feet of common channel. Is this distal? Proximal? How much protein and calcium should I be getting a day with this much bypassed? More importantly, does anyone think that this is too much to get bypassed?    — Sasha A. (posted on June 27, 2003)

That is about 170 cm., which I believe makes it a distal.
