Question:
Do gall stones present increase your chance for approval???
As part of the program I am in the surgeon had me get an ultra sound to check for gall stones. Sure enough I am full of them. I am wondering does the fact that my bad gallbladder will eventually have to come out increase the chances of approval for my WLS... Hoping something good will come from me being a gravel hauler! — colette73 (posted on June 25, 2003)

I am sorry you have gallstones but I don't think it will increase your
chance for wls approval. Could be wrong tho. Good luck

It will help if that is one of the comorbidities listed by your insurance
company for weight loss surgery. It was listed as one of them on mine where
others were not. Sorry to hear about your gallstones but good luck on
getting approved for surgery. I think it will help
