I am a patient of the BTC center of Pennsylvania. Your first visit you
will be expected to pay the 85.00. You will meet with the doctor, the
nutritionist, and a counselor who also went through the surgery. The two
ladies they have there are wonderful. They will all answer your questions,
ask you why you want to have this surgery, talk about your insurance a
little, and at the end you and your doctor will come to the conclusion
whether you want to do this. Now, as for insurance, this particular
hospital is considered to be new (they have only been doing surgeries for
ten months) so my insurance for example would only pay as out of network.
I made the decision to go there, and had wonderful care. I had my surgery
on December 2, 2002 ( I am down 115 lbs in six months)and there were only
three patients in the whole hospital, so we had very personalized care (so
this made for an even better experience). If you have anymore questions
please feel free to e-mail me at [email protected]
