WHile it's always your own choice what to eat/drink...Hi C has a very high amount of sugar in it, and not natural fruit sugar either (high fructose corn syrup), so it will likely make you dump, plus add a lot of calories. Can I suggest propel orange flavor?? It tastes very sweet, and has a good orange taste...and nearly no sugar. Good luck with the cravings.

Kelly, Propel is great, isn't it? Good advice. Hi C is loaded with useless calories and sugar. Be verrrrrry careful. If you are a 'dumper' it could send you into a tail spin. If you are not so inclined to 'dump', you will be allowing yourself to take in MANY calories and that could slow down your weight loss.

I was going to say exactly what Kelly B said. Also, that it doesn't have nutritional value. Propel is a good alternative.

I agree with the previous posters. Hi-C Orange is basically flavored sugar water. A CHILD's size Hi-C Orange drink from Mickey D's will run you 120 calories - 32g of carbs - all sugar. The ingredients??? Water, high fructose corn syrup and/or sucrose, citric acid, vitamin C, potassium benzoate (to protect taste), acacia, natural flavors (vegetable source), glycerol ester of wood rosin, yellow 6, brominated vegetable oil, red 40. Let me tell you a horror story. I used to drink a drink from a local convenience store in Pa (Swiss Farms) - an orange drink similar to Hi-C. Well, I ended up drinking so much of it over a period of time (before I was diagnosed as a Type II diabetic) that I ended up in the ER with a blood sugar of over 500. I was having vision problems, frequent urination, saliva as thick as syrup, a ravenous thirst - all those classic signs of diabetes.
Hi-C is NOT juice - not even close. Even at 10 months, I limit my orange juice consumption to 8 oz or less, otherwise I will dump on it...JR

if you are on a full foods diet why not try eating an orange and get some fiber from it too! Otherwise I agree propel is excellent!

btw, the propel ORANGE flavored water is in what they call a 'limited distribution'. it's not available in all areas at this time (i called the company, asking why i could only find it, sporadically, in one convenience store...) if people were to conduct a phone campaign, and call the company's 800 number, to request increased distribution of this product, it might become more readily available.

Try orange flavored "Fruit 2 0" it is fruit flavored with water. No calories, No carbs, No Sugar. It is flavored with Splenda. I hate no calorie drinks, But I love "Fruit 2 O" It comes in orange, lemon, peach, strawberry, raspberry, and grape. By the way no carbonation....But, the lemon tastes like sprite.

Hi! I hear you loud and clear because I feel the same way! LOL!! If you want that orange drink, get it, but be aware that you might dump pretty fast! Thin it down half and half with water. It doesn't taste as good, but you won't dump as easily. Preferably find a sugar free drink that helps quench your thirst. Propel peach, orange, strawberry-kiwi, berry and black cherry are all excellent drinks. so is fruit 2 O and Diet Air (made by snapple). There are yummy sugar free alternatives that will make that hi c drink taste nasty!! :~) Good luck!
