Question:
Anyone with luck getting secondary insurance?

I am needing to find an additional insurance plan for my mother who is in need of WLS. She has great insurance, but it doesn't cover this surgery. Has anyone had any luck?    — A S. (posted on June 9, 2003)

Unfortunately, if your buying insurance independent of a employer its difficult or almost impossible when you are obese. Or they typically have a "pre exsisting" clause. Sounds like she needs to fight her insurance on this exclusion. Try Walter Lindstrom an obesity attorney.
