Go to the home page and click on professional directory, then click on your
state, then go from there. I suggest you look for someone who is
experienced with wls and keeps current on the recent recommendations. Good
Luck. Lynda

All hospitals have a staff dietician/nutritionist. Call and find out if
they do outpatient appointments. Many do...people see them for nutrition
education for diabetes, pregnancy, high cholesteral, high blood pressure,
etc.

Did you ask your surgeon if he is familiar with some in the area? If your
surgeon doesn't regularly have his patients see a nutritionist, I would be
pretty leery as this is very important info that you'll need to be healthy
for the rest of your life. Maybe you should check the status of his
license and make sure he doesn't have any complaints filed, since to me
this would be a red flag.
