Question:
I went last week for labs, EKG, and chest xray........

my surgery is this Friday and I was wondering are they going to do any more tests Friday morning? Or is all that finished with and the only thing left is the surgery? I hate being stuck. haha Thanks, Mary    — Mary K. (posted on May 19, 2003)

this might be all. The docs order all the tests usually by how you fill out your medical history sheet. ex. If you never have problems sleeping, they won't order a sleep test. Also it depends on the ins. Some ins. require more testing. Mine didn't require any. But, my surgeon ordered my tests based on what he thought I needed. Good luck on your surgery!!!!!!

Hi Mary, my test were all done, my surgery is tomorrow, an I only have one more test that has to be done. They draw your blood, for typing, and it has to be done no longer then 48 hours prior to surgery, so they will probaly do it the day of your surgery. It's done in case they need to give you blood, it's just a precaution...Good Luck...
