Question:
Has anyone had an inner thigh lift as I am scheduled for June 3?

I had my WLS 18 months ago, down 120lbs! This past December I had my arms done, in February I had a lower body lift, and now am scheduled for my inner thighs on June 3 (he would like to do my boobs at the same time but I don't have the money and am afraid of implants). He said the scar would be 3-4" long then go aroung my groin. I will be out of work 5 days-I know he wants me take longer but I can't. Is this a painful surgery, did you have drains, a compression garment, how long until you could exercise (I am a gym rat!), was it difficult to get around? I know it is different for everyone but how long did it take you to have good mobility? ANY INFORMATION you can share with me I would be eternaly grateful. I had no fear until I met one of his patients in the hospital and she had been there for 3 weeks due to an infection. I know that can happen to anyone but now real fear is settling in. I had a thigh lift that included the inner thigh. My problem was wound separation. That is, after the stitches came out, because of the location and added stress, the wounds, on both sides at different times, separated. It looked like I had three vaginas for a while. But every thing healed up...took about 6-10 weeks. I was mobile immediately. I remember one incident that pulled the wound open was sitting on the toilet and leaning to the left to wipe. The thigh skin pulled away from the groin area. I had to put on some special green cream and bandage the area to let it heal from the inside out. However, it did heal and I no longer have hanging skin on my inner thighs. I detailed my rather extensive plastic surgeries. And don't forget, I still had a lot of fatty tissue even though I had lost over 240 pounds. I still weighed about 250 at the time of my leg surgery. Fatty tissue is very difficult to create scar tissue in, so that accounts for the wound separation. People with just loose skin do much better.
