Question:
How soon before traveling for work?

How long was it before you could travel, alone, for business or pleasure? I'm thinking about handling luggage, walking/jogging to catch connecting flights, renting a car, then checking in to a hotel. Each one sounds do-able, but not all at once, all alone.    — RayRay S. (posted on May 9, 2003)

I travelled alone for business about two months after surgery. I had no physical problems was able to tow my luggage and all but eating out ALL THE TIME was hard. My diet is to eat 6 meals a day and that is not that easy on the road. I made sure I had plenty of high protein snacks for in between meals and just ate what I could for the meals. If I had to travel any sooner than that I would have issues I think with some lingering soreness and the more resrictinve diet at 4-6 weeks p.o. I was on. Give yourself plenty of time at the airport and take things slowly and you should be ok. Good luck!
