Question:
I have a lump in my throat that has been there for about a week. Anyone else
experience this and what did you do? There is no pain. It is just uncomfortable and constant. What can I do to make this go away? I am 8 weeks post op.(Ann in TX) — Ann B. (posted on May 8, 2003)

Have your PCP check for thyroid problems!
Good Luck . . Michele :) 28 days to go!

I am in the same position right now. It is from taking medications for
itchy rash that are irritating my pouch and esophogus. I also have this
problem if I overfill my pouch.

This is definitely a question for your doctor. Go *now*. This can be a
number of things, some of which can be serious (some not, so don't worry
too much). But call *now*.

Hi, My lump in my throat turned out to be 2 large non cancerous tumors.
They had to remove the thyroid and tumors. Now I am on synthroid. Don't
take "lumps" lightly whether it is a stomach acid kind of lump
feeling or a lump that makes a female look like you have an Adams Apple.
Time to see your PCP. Best of luck -

I see you're only about 2 months out now - so I doubt that it is still
irritation from being intubated. It could be that your getting dehydrated.
It could be mental (the idea of food going into your tiny pouch or some
such cr**), or it could be physical - I agree with the others. See your
doc!
