Is it accompanied with nausea? It might be your gallbladder. I read just
today 10 to `15% of bad gallboladders test ok and are only found to be bad
on surgical removal. My wife Jen is having another bout of this and my best
guess is gallbladder. All tests come back negative. Its very upsetting. Let
us know if they find the cause.

It sounds like your gallbladder. I had the same problems. I had vomitting
as well though. It lasted several days. I went to the hospital and had
many tests done but they all came back negative. After the second time of
this, my surgeon told me he thought it was my gallbladder even though the
tests were all negative. We removed the gallbladder and I have had no more
trouble. As I was told, these tests for the gallbladder are not precise
and sometimes you just have to go with your gut.

For any women can this pain be down there? Jens moves around but is often
in that area.

Diane;
My mother had what they called Biliary Mud. She never had WLS either. But
her gallblader was bad and it never showed anything on the x-rays. The only
way that her doctor found it was to go in and explore the area, needless to
say, when they found that, they took it out immediately. Her doctor said
that these stones never show up on the x-rays. She has a heart condition,
that's the only reason they did anything as it was starting to affect her
heart. they were glad they did it after what they found. Her doctor said it
could have ruptured. Good luck. Sue-Ellen

I am 18 months out and it has happend twice, one time after eating an apple
and another one after eating corn, the pain lasted couple of days and it
didnt go away even with medication. It disappear as it came! I believe it
could be a partial obstruction... let me know!

To the previous poster, Maureen.... it really sounds like a gallbladder
problem by the foods you say bring it on. Apples are notorious for causing
the gallbladder to act up.
Good luck to all you who have this.

I experiencing the same thing right now as we speak. Yesterday I had
Chinese food for lunch. Beef & Brocoli, as I drove home I started
getting severe cramps. I even tried laying down. I throw up and did have
problems going to the bathroom. Today I'm still experiencing pain and
cramps but not as bad as last night. Last night I was ready to drive to the
hospital the pain was so bad. I will not eat that anymore. But I don't know
whether I should call the doctor.

Some foods like corn are not digested well by the body at all so I avoid it
altogether...(was enlighted just prior to a gallbladder removal about
corn.) Also, I found I was terribly allergic to MSG and would get dizzy,
have pain and vomit after ingesting it. You might consider having a food
allergy test done.
