Question:
Do anyone has a source for chair exercises or things that can be done while sitting?
My surgeon doesn't want me working out for 3 more weeks. I would love to find some exercises that I can do sitting down especially at work since I am often alone in the office. I saw someone who mentioned "chair dancing" once in their profile. What is that? I have 230 more lbs to lose and want to help build muscle now before I can get into a water aerobics class in a couple of weeks. — Ann B. (posted on April 25, 2003)

Im not sure of the title; but i know where is a video out for chair
excercises; you could call a physical theripist group and ask.. I know my
late husband had one when he was wheel chaired bound.
BUT, working out and excerise; arent the same thing; You COULD WALK !!! If
your alone in the office; just 'walk' around the office; Walking is the
BEST excerise; and its done from day 1 post op!; Im sure your doctor would
NOT exclude walking; why not ask him?

Hi, Ann. I had my surgery on 1/27/03 and have lost 51 lbs. From about 2
weeks after surgery, I've been using Richard Simmons' videotape called
"Sit Tight". I think you can get it from amazon.com, or
Richard's own website. It's a sit-down workout set to music and I love it!
It's only 30 min. I don't think you could do it at work, though (although
you COULD, I guess. If it were me, I'd charge my co-workers a
"gawking fee"! ;o) ). Hope this helps!

if you can order VHS and I will make watch next week and if info for
ordering VHS/DVD is announced, I'll surely let you know.
Wishing you a speeding recovery...I'm 16days post-opt and getting around
