Seeking accomodations near Carraway Methodist Hosptial, Birmingham AL.

We want to spend night close to Carraway Methodist Hospital in Birmingham AL. where my surgery will be. Anyone knowing of inexpensive hotel or if hospital has rooms to rent for the night before surgery as we live a long way away. Please help!    — ginger W. (posted on March 27, 2003)

Hi Ginger, I live in Tuscaloosa Al (about 45 min from B'ham) The closeset interstate exit to the hospital has several hotels. I am not sure about the hospital renting rooms. Hi there - no worries - Carraway has it's own hotel inside the hospital. When I had my surgery at Carraway my sister stayed there. It's very nice! Just call the information desk at the hospital and they'll connect you. Best wishes to you!!
