Question:
What is your average monthly weight-loss?
At about about 9 months post-op, I am loosing about 5 pounds each month. I am curious to know how much others at 6 months, 9 months, or 12 months are loosing. Those who are still loosing after 12 months, how much are you seeing go each month? I am not interested in comparing my progress with anyone elses. Just want to get an approximate gauge for what I might expect over the next 6 months, or so. Thanks... Lori - RNY 06/20/02 308/201 — [Deactivated Member] (posted on March 25, 2003)

Hi Lori. You've had a great weight loss- congrats! After the 6 month mark,
my loss began to slow a little. I have averaged about 10lbs. loss per month
during the whole process. Although it did slow down, I had 2 weeks where I
lost like 8 lbs. so it made up for the slow loss prior to that. It was just
a lucky occurrence I think! You may even lose 5lbs. a month or possibly
less after the honeymoon phase is over. I guess it all depends. I am now 5
lbs. away from my goal of being 130lbs (at 5'2") Goodluck to you!

At the end of my profile is a month by month breakdown. I was considered a
light weight so 5 pounds a month would have been good for me after the 9
month mark. At close to 14 months post-op, its been about 2 pounds a month
now for the past few months. If I snacked a little less, bet it would be
closer to 4!

THE FIRST 6 MONTHS I AVERAGED ABOUT 15 POUNDS A MONTH. IM NOW AT 8 MONTHS
POST OP AND HAVE LOST ABOUT 8 POUNDS A MONTH FOR THE PAST TWO. YOU ARE
DOING GREAT. IT SEEMS SLOW BUT AT THE END OF THE MONTH, A 5 POUND LOSS CAN
MEAN ANOTHER SIZE DROPPED.
