Question:
What is an average cost of abdominoplasty/panniculectomy?
It looks like I may have to pay for my reconstructive surgery myself. I've put in an appeal, but just in case that doesn't work, I'll do it on my own. I'm getting a price of about $8400.00 for abdominoplasty & panniculectomy, all inclusive (surgeon fee, hospitalization, anesthesia, etc.). Does this sound about right? — scottiemaam O. I live in Nebraska and just paid $5500 for abdominoplasty I had two weeks
ago. I'll pay an additional $600 for the extra night I spent in the
hospital though... the $5500 only covered one night.

I live in Minnesota. I went to three consultations and the prices ranged
from 8900.00 down to 4300.00. I went with the third choice,
4300.00($1300.00 for anexthesia, and the remainder for the procedure), not
because of the cost, but I went through an health network clinic, where I
know would be a highly experienced doctor who could offer the surgery for a
lower price. My tt was done brilliantly! I am more than please with my
choice. My scar will be totally un-noticable.

I was recently quoted a price of $7,000 complete, including surgeon,
hospital, anesthesia, etc.) for an abdominplasty with panni removal. This
would be a hip to hip incision and the surgeon claimed it would repair my
mons pubis. However, from research and feedback from Yahoo's plastic
surgery support group, I know that a tummy tuck alone does not fix a bad
mons pubis. Some skin has to be removed along with it. I read on a general
site for plastic surgery that the average TT costs $5,000 - $8,000. I have
a consult with another plastic surgeon in early April. One with more
experience with WLS folks.

Added Note: that $7,000 quote came from a doc in Downers Grove, a suburb of
Chicago.

I paid $10,000 for a tummy tuck but they went all the way around so I am
not sure if that is a body lift? lipo in my flanks, and lipo in my legs.
This incuded the surgeon, anestia and hosptial. Good luck!
