When a person is in ketosis, but ketone stick isn't purple, am I still losing weight?

From what I understand, if you are in Ketosis, the Ketostix detects some
amount of Ketones in the urine and it shows up on the stick. If the
Ketostix doesn't detect Ketones, you aren't in Ketosis. Good luck to you!

I'm not really all too familiar with ketosis and the strips and what not.
But you don't have to be in ketosis in order to lose weight. I know you
can eat a very small amount of carbs and still be in ketosis. I do eat
carbs, not too small, not too much either, but I have lost weight the whole
9 months I am post-op. Maybe someone more familiar with it can answer your
question, though. Goodluck to you!

You do not need to be in ketosis to lose weight. If you're ]
not in ketosis, it just means your muscles are running on glucose/glycogen
instead of ketone bodies. You can email me if you'd like more info...I'm a
biochemist. My email is [email protected]
