Question:
Anyone experience super dry eyelids?
Mine actually look red, are scaly and peel/flake somewhat. Sometimes they itch slightly because the dry skin gets tight. I put an oil for skin directly on it which has helped some, but it never fully goes away. I take one dry E a day and my eyelids are the only place I have this type of dry skin. I am wondering if this is a problem not related to wls or if any other post-ops have experienced the same problem. I am just over a year out from my surgery, lap RNY. — Diana M. Make sure you moisturize before bed and before makeup. Loreal eye shadow
will cause me to get SUPER dry eyelids so I don't use it anymore. It could
be your makeup.

Dry eyes was the reason I searched diligently until I found dry vitamin A
& D. Vitamin A is needed for good eye health and we don't absorb it
(along with many other things) post-op unless it's in dry form. I take 2
multi vitamins, 400iu of dry vitamin e, 50mg chelated zinc, 1000mcg
sublingual B12, 1200 mg calcium citrate, 50mg carbonyl iron & 500mg
Ester C vitamin c. I just added a dry vitamin A & D to the mix. I also
take fish oil capsules but am looking into the Coromega when budget allows.
Probably a lot more info than you were looking for! :o - Anna LAP RNY

When my eyelids were like that it was from contact dematitis. In other
words I became alergic to eye make up.
You may also have an infection. See a doc to get a proper diagnosis.
