Question:
highest weight, consultation weight or surgery weight????
For a correct weight loss do we take our highest weight, are consultation weight, or our surgery date weight. I have three different weights which one should I use as a correct one as my weight loss? — charanewme (posted on February 27, 2003)

My surgeon uses presurgery. I lost 5 lbs between consultation and surgery
and would like them tracked. They put it on my chart but still they only
count since surgery.

I take the highest, you still lost it, why not take credit for losing ALL
of it. The hardest weight loss, is what you lost without surgery anyway.

If you lost weight as preparation for this surgery, I would include that.
However, if your highest weight was months ago, or years ago, it wouldn't
count. I actually have 2 weights that I use-the surgeon uses the consult
weight(wearing clothes, after a heavy meal), and I use what I weighed in
the nude the morning of surgery (a six pound difference!)

I hope my surgeon uses my weight on the day of surgery, since I have gained
28lbs since.-Tonya
