Has anyone been approved for a tummy tuck by United Healthcare Options PPO?

Karla, I don't have an answer for you, but would be interested in what you
find out. I'm a long way from having it done but never too soon to get my
ducks in a row. Good luck.

Lotsa luck!Seems everyone in the Houston area is getting
denied by UHC. I'm about ready for my appeal but will wait
and watch Teena Adler's approach to see if it is sucessful.
Dr Wongsa does not approve of ps until you have hit 2 years
so you probably won't be getting any help from him. Wish this had been more
positive. Best of luck!

Karla,
I have United Healthcare PPO and have 2 co-workers who were approved. One
has had the WLS surgery and one has not. Dr.Yates in Houston is who they
used. His team seems to work well with our insurance. This seems to be the
key to getting adominoplasty approved. The cryteria that they had to meet
was this: their excessive skin had to touch their pubic hairline. I beleive
they also explained to the doctor that the excessive skin hanging over
caused constant sweating, odor and occasional yeast infections. They also
advised the doctor that they had to keep deodorant underneath the hangover
and often used old timey cloth handkerchiefs to keep it dry. Hope this
helps. Thanks, Melony Halliburton. Beaumont, Texas.
