Question:
KY Support group

Can anyone point us to a support group near Maysville, Kentucky? We may be transferred from California out there in the next couple of months and are trying to get some ducks in a row. Thanks!    — jnc (posted on February 4, 2003)

Hi....I live approximately 3 hours from Maysville. My uncle lives there and I must say it is a nice small town. My town that I live in is also very small...I do not know of any support groups here in my area or even close-by. I do know that Portsmouth, Ohio (which is nearly 55 miles away on a good stretch of road) does offer such a class. The name of the Hospital in Portsmouth (if you desire to drive the distance) is Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC). I will also check with my Uncle for you and see if he has any knowledge of this. Hope it helps.....if you have any more questions, please feel free to email me...i am 3 weeks post op and down 25 lbs.YEAH!!!!!

I Have never posted before, I guess you can say I'm a lurker.But thought I'd try to answer. I live in Ashland not to far from Maysville, but I'm pre-op very early on my journey, still have not seen my surgeon. I don't know of any support groups, but somewhere on this wonderful site (can't remember where) there is a place that lists members by city and state. I hope that helps in some way. God Bless,Vicki
