What is the cost of having a filter inserted?

What kind of filter? If you are talking about a greenfield or inferior vena cava (IVC) filter, then the cost is around $ 10,000. It is an invasive procedure done on an out-patient basis. See my profile for a description of the procedure.

I had to have a filter it cost me around 2500 dollars and was done at the time of surgery prior to the actual lap rny I was asleep and didn't know a thing. I woke up with my filter and a second chance at life. Best of luck to you.. Brie

I had the greenfield filter implanted on 12/23/02 as an outpatient. I have received only the hospital's bill so far and it was $15,000.Naples,Fl. I have peace of mind.
