Question:
Has anyone ever had a hysterectomy and gastric bypass surgery?

My surgeon would not allow the hysterectomy and bypass to be performed at the same time. I ended up having the hysterectomy and tummy tuck performed one year after the bypass. I hope you find this information helpful.

I had a complete hysterectomy six weeks after my bariatric surgery. I'm only four weeks out from having the hysterectomy, so it's all been very recent. They didn't do it at the same time as my bariatric surgery though.

I had lap gastric bypass in May 2002. I had my hysterectomy in November 2002. I did fine with no complications.

I had my Gastric Bypass in December of 2003 and just got out of the hospital on August 26, from a total abdominal hysterectomy, just got my staples out and found out I have Seroma (where body fluids are draining) and a major infection. Lisa Young in Iowa
