Question:
Do we
Lose more weith during the first couple of months? Or as I have read recently we lose more during months 3-6. Can I get some feedback on this if you lost maybe you can share how much during 1-3 months and then 3-6 months — Schatzie1 (posted on January 5, 2003)

I've read a ton of profiles and both seem to be correct. Depends on the
person, how well they recover, how well they "took" to food
again, etc. So many variables. I did equally well in both periods (1-3
and 4-6 months)- about 50 pounds lost in each 3 month cycle. so....?

Rose, everyone is different, of course, the first 3 months are the fastest.
My dtr swears months 3-8 are key, but, you will continue to loss the first
18 mos. I am 2 wks short of 5 mos and am down 79lbs. Here is what I have
experienced so far (pre-op 305, 5'5) 1st Month -34.00 lbs,
2nd Month -10.50 lbs, 3rd Month -15.50 lbs, 4th Month -11.00 lbs and 5th
Month (so far 8lbs).

Yes. Sorta like an inverted pyramid. And usually the first month is a
slide, then the rest of the way is step-rest-step-rest, all the way down, a
little less each month, longer gaps between. Of course, some dont' follow
that pattern, but that seems to be the common one.
