Question:
I am having bladder problems, what could this be?
The past 2 days I have had a problem by feeling like I have to urinate (badly) but when I sit down on the toilet I can hardly go at all. There is no pain but I feel like my bladder is FULL even after I have just gone to the bathroom. Has anyone experienced this? And if so what was the diagnosis? I wondered about some sort of bladder infection but since there is no pain I wasn't sure. HELP! — Laurel C. (posted on December 21, 2002)

Laurel,
I had exactly the same thing... no pain, but felt like I
had to go every 5 minutes. I went to the doctor and it was bladder
infection. I'm on my last couple days of antibiotics, and I think it's
better, but again, I don't have any pain, so who knows? LOL
Good
luck,
Kelly

Bladder infections don't usually cause pain until they are spreading. A
false feeling of fullness of the bladder is usually the first sensation,
followed by burning when you go and/or lower abdominal pain. Definitely
get checked for a UTI or bladder infection.

Hello,
I am the original poster. I just wanted to thank everyone for the quick
response. I plan on going to the doc this afternoon. I just wanted to say
for the record that I am almost 5 months post-op now. Sorry I didn't add
that into my original question.
Thanks again!
