carbs ARE evil lol, but if you up the protien by eating ONLY protiens in
the morning for go ALL carbs for 2 to 3 days the cravings will stop...The
more carbs you eat the more of them you crave.... got to munch??? try
crispy peperoni{ nuke on paper towels til crisp} pork rinds hard boiled
or deviled eggs,If you religously make yourself do the protiens first
always the carb craving will subside...Just make sure your protiens are
above 80 grams a day and dont forget that water

You are still so early out that if you are getting all the protein you need
you should be eating mostly protein. There's a simple rule that works early
postop and, modified, works for maintenance, too. Protien first, then
fruits and veggies, then carbs if you have room. I use www.fitday.com a lot
to help me gauge how much protein I am eating. It is free and my only beef
with it is that it doesn't show sugar grams. It is really, really hard to
eat a low level of carbs although it is possible (kudos to Kim T!). But
just make sure that you are getting enough protein and that the carbs you
do eat are not "white" carbs (potatoes, rice, refined flour,
refined sugar) but complex carbs (fruits, veggies, whole grain pastas,
breads, and flours). That will give you some variety and keep your body
healthy without sabotaging your weight loss. I am sure that if I could eat
just tuna or chicken breast at every meal I would have lost faster, but to
me it is a quality of life issue. I didn't mind it early postop but it does
get old. Good luck and happy losing!
