Cleveland Clinic of Naples, Fla. now has surgeons who perform gastric by-pass...Unsure of the name - so if you contact the clinic they can give you info. I am hoping to use Marema..but if I can't get insurance approval before 12/31/02 I will be forced to start all over again and use the Cleveland Clinic.

Hi! My surgeon was Dr. Burshan in Pompano Beach, Florida 954/782-0072. He is the Head Surgeon of Trauma at North Broward Medical Center in Pompano. I am not sure about the fees that the hospital or surgeon charges since my insurance (Aetna) paid 100%. And as I understand it, all North Broward Hospital District employees interested in the RNY are being referred to him. I live in Cape Coral and I am using Dr. Liberman at the Cleveland Clinic in Naples. I have just started the process with him, but so far I am very pleased. He does the lap RNY and lap band. I feel very confident in his skills.
