Question:
Has anyone else noticed a change in their body shape?

I know as you lose weight your shape changes because their is less of you, but this I found a little funny. I have never had any hips or backside, very upside down pear shaped. All of my pants have always been baggy in the rear end. Now all of a sudden, after losing 104lbs, I'm more hour glass shaped. My husband said that my hips were hiding under all of that fat. I guess he's right. I was just wondering if anyone else had had this kind of experience. Karen    — Karen P. (posted on December 6, 2002)

Yes I have, I was always bottom heavy and had a small waist, now my legs are much smaller (goody) but my waist is big. I always had big arm but they are small now, but it's funny how my shape has changed. Take care.

I noticed when I was 300 pounds that I had boobs. Now that I'm 218, I don't have any. So, that shape has definitly gone away. My hips are peaking out too. My hubby is loving it. I'm getting used to it. I'm starting to look like I did 8 years ago. Thanks!

Yep! I started out pear shaped. Pants were always hanging loose in the back of the waist unless I got some VERY relaxed (dang near comatose) fit pants. As I lost weight, I became more proportional. For a while (until the last 15 pounds) I had quite a "rack!" But then things deflated and I am a proportional (but not quite as exciting) 36-28-36. It's nice to be able to find pants that fit!

Yes, my body shape is changing as well. I'm starting to see the shape of my rib cage. The funny thing is that I'm not losing my weight evenly. My left side is losing faster than the right side. I look at my hips and can see a noticeable difference. Hopefully it will all even out soon. I've lost 108 pounds and want to lose another 45. I wonder what I'll look like then.

I used to have a HUGE butt and hips, but still an hourglass shape. Now, I'm smaller on the bottom (size 4) then I am on the top (size 8)!! VERY nice surprise!!!

I am still bottom heavy, but my hip shelf (you know, that big bulge above the butt that you can decorate for the holidays and noone would be the wiser lol) has turned into a gently slanted curve.

Yep...me too...my butt is gone. I'm flat as a pancake and already dreaming of implants. The boobs are now hanging like those tribal women in National Geographic. When I think of it all, the surgery to fix everything could go on forever and the cost, well, I would need a sugar daddy! I'm already trying to train my brain to think, contentment!!!

I'm down 103 pounds in 10 months. And I am DEFINITELY shaped differently. Use to have huge thighs and huge hips. Now I have large thighs, but I have a "tiny heiny" according to my husband. Unbelievable! I think everything is still shifting around though. But I definitely don't look the way I did when I was younger and at this weight.
