Question:
Adkins Advantage Protein drinks

Do the Adkins Advantage protein drinks have the right type of protein we need? The can says it has whey protein concentrate and in the nutrition label is states it has 20 grams of protein.    — Kim F. (posted on December 3, 2002)

I am using the Atkins Shake (powdered) and the premade Advantage in emergencies (can't stand the taste). My nutritionist said they are fine...a little high in fat but low in sugar.

I tried the Adkins Advantage and it was terrible, I couldn't even get it down. The only protein drink I like has been Real Meals. It has 60 grams of protein plus about 40 other vitamins. It also has stuff in it to prevent hair loss and sagging skin. Go to www.protein-solution.com They give post ops a discount, and there is a great chart that compares all of the proetin drinks.

I use the ready made cans of adkins protein. I like the vanilla the best they taste better when really cold and shaken well. The chocolate wasnt that bad and havent tried the strawberry but 20 grams of protein is great. The powder was awful, i will never use that again.
