Question:
Can anybody recommend a WLS-knowledgeable PCP in Dallas?
I'm planning to move to Dallas from Seattle at the end of December. I had open RNY in January 2002. I'm doing fine; I don't need a surgeon (God willing), but I'm going to need a new PCP, and I'd like one who's at least up to speed on the needs of WLS post-ops. Can anybody recommend their doctor? Thanks very much. — Roxanne M. (posted on December 3, 2002)

My Dr. is great!! His name is Dr. James Otto, 214/828-2889. He was
recommended to me by the nurse of the surgeon I will be using (I'm still
pre-op). They are both located at Baylor Medical Center on Gaston in
Dallas. He has quite a few post-op patients and even recommends the
surgery. I was very impressed with him and I don't like most Dr.'s. He's
young and has a great bedside manner. I promise you will like him and he
will understand all you are going through.
