I started at 5'6, 269 pounds. To my wonderful surprise, I have not lost
any of my boobs (which is good cause I was a nice C). I noticed also that
I didn't really lose clothes sizes right away, but then suddenly after I
hit the 40-pounds mark, they started dropping dramatically. So hang in
there and save your money for shopping! I had surgery 6/12/02 and am down
85 pounds to a size 14!

Did you do your measurements before surgery? If not do them now and then
again in a month or so and you are sure to see a difference. My surgery was
10/22/02 and I have lost over 30 lbs but still cannot wear a 2X. My 3X's
are baggy on me but the 2's are still tight. People tell me I look like my
head has shrunk of all things and my boods are lost in my C cups but the
bra still fits fine around me.

Hi there Brandy! I had surgery on 9/23/02 and down 72 lbs. The first
couple of weeks, I too noticed that I wasn't losing inches, just lbs. and
my pants all still fit. My hubby and I did research and found that it is
said that you lose weight first in the places you gained last and someone
pointed out to me that how do we know if the clothes we were wearing before
surgery were our actual size? Most of us who are MO, have elastic on our
pants, my hubby measured the elasticity to see how much pull there was and
to my surprise, they was a lot of give, I had lost, but now the pants were
getting down to the correct fit. After I hit 50 lbs lost, then I finally
dropped a size.
As far as boobs are concerned, I have not lost any in front (cup size). I
have lost inches in back (my back fat), but my DD boobs are still there, I
may not lose them because I have ALWAYS had them. :-(
I'm sure if you take measurements, you'll see that you lost
inches. Vi

hi there brandy :) i agree with vi fe, most of my cloths pre op concisted
of baggy ole sweats and way big t shirts. so in my head i hadnt gone down
in sizes which had me freaked out. by the beginning of the 3rd month i
really noticed a big difference though. im someone who couldnt find jeans
to fit me to save my life, now im so glad to be wearing them again and its
a great feeling to not have to reach for the biggest size in the store. i
lost alot in my face first, then shoulders then the rest to follow. have
lost in the chest but not much in cup size, mostly the excess weight in my
back has dissapeared thank god. best of luck to you! :)

Havent had my surgery yet (12/23/02), but I know from my past weight losses
I can go 35 -40 lbs either way...this in dresses, pantsuits etc. The
clothes become tighter or looser
but I can still wear my same clothes

I started at 5'7" and 296 with a size 42 DD. I've lost 75 pounds in 4
months and I've only recently started to notice my bra cups getting loose.
I even went and had a bra "fitting" by a professional. She
explained to me that it is likely that my old bras are really stretched out
and that I should probably have been wearing a larger size before my
surgery. Now I am buying 40 DD's instead.
It seems great to keep the knockers big while the rest of you shrinks, but
it has a drawback for me - my posture!! I feel like I'm becoming a
hunchback! It's harder to stand up straight when they are big!

You will start to see your clothing sizes drop pretty soon. I didn't right
away, but I think that's probably because I was busting out of the size I
was trying to pull off. As far as the bra size: I started as a 46D and
now, 9.5 months later am a 36D. Still a D! A very saggy, baggy, scary
looking D, but none the less the same cup size as when I started. My
plastic surgeon said that a lot of it is skin now, and after a mastopexy I
should end up a C cup. Congrats on being 35 down!!

Hi! I have lost 83 pounds since Aug. 7th 2002, and I am STILL wearing a
size 26/28 shirt!!! My pants sizes are dropping pretty quickly, but my
shirt size seems to be stalled! It's not like I have huge boobs or anything
so I can't figure it out!

Hi Brandy... I know what you mean. I think part of the problem is that
there is so much room between sizes as clothing sizes get bigger. I've
lost about 185 lbs since last December 6th. 4 weeks ago I was only down to
a 26/28. Suddenly over the weekend I was out buying 18/20's. And as far
as the cup size issue. I started at a 54DDD, now I'm a 42DDD...same cup
size, which really ticks me off. All the old skin is there, but there's
not much in it. Its pretty scary in there!

thank you all for your answers... im kinda glad to know my one asset wont
be leaving anytime soon but on the other hand kinda disappointed that it
doesnt look like it will change much without surgery..Well guess a
reduction would be outs since it'll be mostly skin instead of fat! oh
well.. i'll have to start a savings account .lol thank you all again!!!:)
