Question:
Weight loss planner
Hi Everyone: I am using the Weight Loss Planner on this site as a guide. I am 3 months post op and am a little off, but pretty much on track. Has anyone used the WLP? Did you find it helpful and/or pretty accurate? Love Grace — Grace H. (posted on November 26, 2002)

I have been checking the weight loss planner. I am doing pitifully by the
WLP but I was over 400 and hope maybe since they say I could lose for two
years instead of fifteen I will be OK I am down 70 pounds in ten weeks,
but on wlp I am not even at the 65% schedule. Sad. It really worries me
that I will not even be close to goal, but I am trying to stay positive.

I see a weight loss calculator link, but I don't see a weight loss planner.
Could you post the link or explain how to get to it on this site? Thanks!

Hi Kids:
I am the original poster. To get to the WLP, go to the gallery section at
the top. Click on calculate your BMI. At the top of that page, it says go
to weight loss planner. You put in your beginning height and weight, and
the percentage of weight you would like to lose. Please email me
privately, and let me know what you think. Thank you so much.

I check it out from time to time and find it very disheartening. According
to the chart, I'm only on pace to lose 60% of my excess weight and that's
not good enough for me!
However, that chart assumes you stop losing by 18 months and I've heard
that although loss is slow, if you work at it and exercise you can lose up
to 24 months so I'm hoping that will be the case with me! Everyone loses
differently and I think it would be hard to predict ones final weight loss
via a chart like this - at least I hope so!
