I amoked before and now after and never had this feeling. When we smoke we
suck it into our lungs. Maybe your feeling the pressure from your lungs
expanding. I know that if I am talking and take a drink or a bite I will
sometimes suck air in with the food or drink and that does feel unpleasant.
Maybe that is what you are doing when you take a puff.

I agree with the previous poster...sounds like you are sucking the smoke
into your stomach. Hate to give smoking advice lol...but I would suggest
breathing and practicing breathing into your lungs so you don't suck it
into your stomach. Yes, I smoke - never quit and really don't intend to,
but I do know it can irritate the stomach, so...Good luck!
