It opens the airways and increases the heartbeat. Each company measures it
dosage effectiveness differently. 4mg may affect you greatly or have in the
ER. I have used it with no problems, however, it can cause SERIOUS problems
in others. You should REALLY call your doctor first and PLEASE follow their
recommendations. The people at GNC at notorious for being uninformed and or
wrong and I'd hate people to start posting wrong info.

I know that the FDA has not come out officially and said "let's get it
off the market" But did state it is only a matter of time. It is one
of the most dangerous "supplments" Out there. Causing
heartattacks and strokes. Be very careful.

hiya. check out this link:
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/uspdi/202096.html
it is all about ephedrine (which is a form of epinephrine -a
bronchiodialator primarily used for people with asthma)...it is not very
good for the body pre op so i don't think it's too good for the body post
op unless prescribed by a doctor for a specific use (such as asthma).
ephedrine and ephedra are use in "weight loss pills" over the
counter and have a lot of serious potential side effects.
