Question:
9 weeks post op weight loss
Hi Everyone: I am 9 weeks status post lap rny and have lost between 33-35 pounds. Is there anyone else who has lost this approximate amount in 9 weeks. Did you get to your goal? Did weight loss come easier as you went along? thanks so much. Love Grace — Grace H. (posted on October 25, 2002)

Hi Grace, you're doing great. My stats are very close to yours. I'm
5'4" and started out at 235. At 9 weeks I had lost 30 pounds and was
frustrated. I was beginning to get obsessed about not losing weight fast
enough so I decided to get rid of the sacale and it made all the difference
in the world. I am now 6 months post-op, won't know how much weight I've
lost until next week since I only weigh every 3 months when I get my blood
work done, but I can tell you I've gone from a 22/24W to a 10. My point
is, hang in there and don't get discouraged, the weight will come off.

Hi Grace, I think we have chatted before...We are similiar in height (5'5)
and duration (I am 10 wks), however, I weighed 304.5lbs at surgery. I am
now 255 and down 49. Are you eating enough? That would be my question?
Make sure you are eating between 500-800 calories a day and eating at least
60-80g of protein. If you are not, you maybe in starvation mode. Good
Luck!
